Sholumade says Akwa United played with “a big heart” and full focus to stun their group B opponents 3SC by holding them to a 2-2 draw at Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday afternoon. “We played a great game. It was really hard but I think we played with a big heart,” the defender told Lodgexpress official website. “It was really important to come and not lose here. We spoke at half-time about needing the three points. We weren’t here to go in the mid-season break with a defeat. “We play with big determination. I’m so happy for us. It’s a massive team with good players and we are glad to believe that. “If you fight always like it’s your last day, you can reverse any result.” Credit : LodgeExpress
