Coach FARUQ Yusuf Plans To Celebrates Fackson FC 25th Years  Anniversary

Founder of Fackson Football Club of Ikeja, Coach Faruq Yusuf announced that plans are ongoing to celebrate 25th years anniversary of the club sheduled to hold on 30, September at the Ojokoro Housing Estate football field, Meiran, Alagbado, Lagos.

Yusuf disclosed this while addressing the club management staff and coaching crew recently at the club training ground.

The founder who double as the head coach of the club explained further that there is need to celebrate the 25 years existence of the club saying that many of his players had left the club for professional football in Europe and some are other part of the countries in the world.

"Let me officially announce to the management staff, coaching crew and our fans within and outside the country that we are planning to celebrate club anniversary by next month and we have started planning towards the success of the anniversary.

"Presently we have informed both new and old players as well as our friends and well wishers concerning the programme and they are happy and promised to attend the event,"he said.

Yusuf revealed that there are many programmes lined up for the anniversary.According to him, some friendly matches would be played such as Fackson Coach and friends against Fackson All Stars,

Another friendly match would be played between Fackson All Stars against Fackson regular,while Fackson fielders would be played against Fackson Angels.

Also award presentation would be given to those who have contributed immensely to the success of the club in the last 25th years of existence.

Aruna returns to top 20 in latest ITTF Ranking.

Quadri Aruna made a quick return to the top 20 in the latest ITTF Ranking released on Tuesday, April 16, by the world table tennis ruling body. In the rating list made public by ITTF, the Nigerian gained three steps up the ranking to occupy 19th spot in the ranking. In the last two rankings, Aruna slid to 22 after missing the World Team Championships in Korea as well as the WTT Champions in Incheon but he has fought his way back to the elite rank of the rating. African Games champion, Omar Assar of Egypt also gained one step up the rating to be ranked 16 in the world. The team had it's first training at a small pitch in Oyebande Street Suberu-Town Casso-Alagbado, the zeal and commitment of the team made them won their first trophy which was the Valentine cup in February 14, 1985.This inaugural edition is to be held on the 31st December 2023 by 4pm at the Football field, Adura bus stop, Alagbado Lagos.
