Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has invited defender Valentine Ozornwafor to the team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone and M and Les Dodos of Mauritius, Spectacular 9ja reports. Monza have been promoted to the Italian top-flight for the first time in their 110-year existence following a 6-4 aggregate triumph over Pisa in the Serie B play-off final after extra time. Although Monza led 2-1 after the first leg on Thursday, Pisa surged to a 2-0 lead in just nine minutes on Sunday to take control of the tie. Monza made it 2-2 on the day and looked to have done enough to secure promotion, but Giuseppe Mastinu equalized in the 90th minute to square the aggregate score and force a 30-minute extra time. Nigerian winger, Victor Moses helped his club Spartak Moscow to clinch the Russian Cup as they defeated their city rivals Dinamo Moscow 2-1 in the final on Sunday,spectacular9ja.blogspot.com reports. Moses was in action for 90 minutes and the victory meant Spartak won a first Cup title since 2003, and it was their 14th in the history of the competition. Moses, who has retired from the Super Eagles since 2018, has now won his first trophy since joining the Russian topflight club. The Nigeria side put up a superlative performance to earn a straight ser win over the Kenyan side. Lagos Commence Renovation Of Teslim Balogun Stadium To An All-Covered Complex After CAF Ban. The Lagos State government has commenced the renovation of the Teslim Balogun Stadium to an all-covered complex. Construction of the stadium, located directly opposite the National Stadium in Surulere, started in 1984 under the administration of the military governor and was completed in 2007 after years of being abandoned. The Stadium which hosted some matches of the Nigeria Super Eagles 2022 World Cup Qualifiers was banned from hosting international matches due to its bad condition. According to reports, some pillars had been mounted around the seating arena, preparing it to become an all-covered stadium. A bulldozer was levelling the tartan track, which was re-lag build-up build up to Eko 2012 National Sports Festival. The Stadium is expected to be ready in a few months. Credit : BSNSPORTS

The Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Emmanuel Adesanya has affirmed in an interview that the second tier league in the country will resume Friday, May 13, 2022. Adesanya stated authoritatively that there is no going back on the May 13 resumption date. "I want to reassure Nigerians that the league has been scheduled to restart by 13th of May, by the special grace of God, there is no going back. The date has been fixed and for the first time we are going to stick by the date. The Nigeria National League has come to stay, the date is sacrosanct."
