Ottasolo Host Go-Round in NNL Second Stanza Opener

It's the start of the second stanza of the NNL season and Ottasolo fc will be looking to improve their abysmal performance from the first stanza show down which saw dem finished in 12th place.

 The chairman of Ottasolo fc, Otunba Gabriel Davies, promised to bolster the squad with key signings in different positions where the teams seems to be lacking. To that effect the team have celebrated the arrival of some household players in Nigeria football to help savage their status in the Nigeria National League. 

Ottasolo FC welcome Go-round FC who are the league leaders from Omoku, Rivers State to the Teslim Balogun Stadium in a must win encounter for the Homer's in order to move out of the drop zone. 

The Rivers State outfit came from behind to beat Ottasolo 2 - 1 when both teams traded tackles in the last match of the first Stanza. 

Ottasolo fc would want to get it's pound of flesh back from Go-round fc as the addition of the new signings to the Solo Boys squad will serve as a morale booster for the team.

Speaking to the media, General Manager of Ottasolo fc, Mr. John Marley ahead of the crunch clash, he said "The boys are excited to be back and are willing to give their all in the remaining matches of the season.

Apart from Charles Eugene who is still recovering from groin injury, every other player in the squad is available for selection. 

"The boys are very much aware of the task ahead which is to ensure that we improve on our position on the league table. 

He also praised the new signings and how easy they are getting along with the teammates". John Marley added that the fans should expect a better brand of football from Ottasolo and positive  results both at home and on the road.

Aruna returns to top 20 in latest ITTF Ranking.

Quadri Aruna made a quick return to the top 20 in the latest ITTF Ranking released on Tuesday, April 16, by the world table tennis ruling body. In the rating list made public by ITTF, the Nigerian gained three steps up the ranking to occupy 19th spot in the ranking. In the last two rankings, Aruna slid to 22 after missing the World Team Championships in Korea as well as the WTT Champions in Incheon but he has fought his way back to the elite rank of the rating. African Games champion, Omar Assar of Egypt also gained one step up the rating to be ranked 16 in the world.
