WAFU B U20 Girls Cup: Nigeria thump Benin Republic 3-0; set up final with arch rivals Ghana.

Nigeria’s female U-20 national team Falconets defeated Benin Republic 3-0 at at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, to seal passage the final of the maiden U-20 WAFU B in Ghana. Ahead of this semifinal clash, the Falconets were the tournament’s form team, having won all three of their games in Ghana, scoring 16 goals and conceding none. Bello opened the scoring in the 24th minutes, as she drove through the heart of Benin’s defence to lash the ball past the goalkeeper for the opener. Onyenezide made it 2-0 on 34th minutes from the penalty spot kick, after Flourish Sabastine was hacked down in the danger area of Benin Republic by forcing the referee to point to the spot for a penalty kick. The Falconets continued with high spirit of dominance in the second half, and on the hour-mark, Onyenezide bagged her second goal went as she went on a solo run and danced past two defenders to make it 3-0 in the 62nd minutes for the Falconets. Peace Cup to start 2nd July  The third edition of Peace Cup will begin on the 2nd of July, 2023 in Lagos, organisers have announced. The cup tournament which is built towards grassroot development of football in the country will be played at Aboru, Ilepo Oke-Odo Area. The following clubs will be participating in the tournament: Sizoko fc, Tridal fc, Fadob fc, Crown Star fc, Ottasolo fc, Akinola All Star, Ayante fc & D-Platinum fc etc. According to the pioneer of the tournament, renowned  Match-Commissioner in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Dr. Adekojo Ibrahim Kolade says Grassroots football development is the best channel to discover raw talents in Nigeria.

Grassroot football development is the best channel to discover raw talents says Dr. Adekojo Ibrahim Kolade.  The director and Pioneer of PEACE CUP 2023, declare the biggest tournament as a channel to discover raw talents and to bring boys out from the street and make them a better person in life.  Here comes the 3rd Edition of Peace cup. NLO'23: Ottasolo FC edge Juvenile FC to record first win of the season

Ottasolo Football Club got back to winning ways in their second match of the 2023 Nationwide League One as they defeated Juvenile Football Club on Friday, www.spectacular9ja.blogspot.com reports Ottasolo defeated Juvenile at the Ilaro Stadium by three goals to two in their group B2A meeting. After a first which saw the two sides without a win (a draw for Juvenile and a loss for Ottasolo), the two sides came into the game pumped up for their first win of the season. However, it was Coach Boldwin Bazuaye's boys who drew the first blood of the game as Olatunji Oladayo opened score six minutes into the encounter. Orisanode Mujib doubled the lead five minutes after before Adeosun Matiti made it 3 for the team few minutes later, but Juvenile pulled one back before half time to end the half 3-1. The second half started with Juvenile seeking to change the score line and get back to the game. They pulled one back, but Ottasolo held on to get the vital points and set their season
