NPFL 24: Referee Was Threatened, Gave Enyimba Unjust 3 Red, 9 Yellow Cards Against Kwara United - Assistant Coach Cries Out

Yemi Olarenwaju, Assistant Coach of Enyimba FC has cried out that the referee who handled his team's game with Kwara United in a Match Day 27 NPFL encounter was biased, Emmanuel Ogbole's brace was enough to give Kwara United a win over the People's Elephants, who had their Assistant Coach sent off at the death. In his post-match thoughts, Olarenwaju alleged that the referee was threatened before the beginning of the second half adding that he was too aggressive to his players. Olarenwaju, who also red-carded alongside Chigozie Chilekwu and Desmond Ojietefian, said his team is always disciplined and that the red card was the first in his career as a coach.  "The first half was good, he opened the game but in the second half, I think he was threatened. You could see that everybody was all over him. He came in the second half and messed up everything. Board impeaches former Chairman, Fouad Oki The executive board of the Lagos State Football Association, at its Extraordinary General Assembly  Saturday, March 23, 2024, unanimously gave a vote of no confidence to the embattled former FA Chairman Ogbeni Fouad Oki, as he was impeached by the 12 out of 14 members of the congress.  Amongst many grievous allegations made against Oki, are maladministration, high-handedness, corruption and fraudulent practices.   Oki was also accused of single handedly and unilaterally changing the existing statutes of the Lagos FA, to suit his aggrandisement to the detriment of the game in the state. NPFL 24: Akwa United Bigger Than Hiding Match Balls - Finidi George Blasts

Head Coach of Enyimba FC, Finidi George has lashed out at Akwa United for allegedly using negative tactics to run down the clock by hiding the match balls in Enyimba's 3-1 loss to Akwa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.  In his post-match thoughts, the Enyimba gaffer bemoaned the Promise Keepers for hiding away balls rather than keeping them to return for play when the one in use went out. He noted that there are ways to delay time in a game by keeping ball possession adding that at Enyimba, such uncultured practice is not attainable.  His words: "We didn't enter the game properly. We were a bit sluggish. A team playing at home, you give them that opportunity to score they will rise. From that point, we struggled to keep the ball, to push and the get that second goal.
