Ottasolo FC defeated MFM 4-2 on penlty after both teams could not find the breakthrough as the fascinating and tension soaked Lagos State FA Cup semifinal encounter ended 1-1 stalemate at the Legacy Pitch.

Former Rivers United star striker Adebambo Ademola drew the first blood to give Ottasolo the lead in the early minute of the second half but the Olukoya Boys fought back and got their deserved equaliser to restore parity ten minutes later.

The NNL side had a busy week as they played three competitive games in five days; two league games and one State FA Cup match.

Despite having a dwindling campaign in the Nigeria National League, 'The Solo Boys' have proved beyond reasonable doubt that they are a team to beat as their performance in the ongoing Lagos State FA Cup have been superb, they have won four in four games thus far.

The mouthwatering game which was tagged 'final-before-final'  lived up to its pre-match billing as the spectators at the Lgacy Pitch were thrilled and entertained with some good football artistry from the players of both teams.

The game started on a bright note for the two teams as they knocked the ball from end to end of the pitch in search of loopholes to ambush.

Both teams looked sharp and dearing knowing that the FA Cup final and Federation Cup tickets are at stake.

The half time that was full of talking points could not produce any goal, thanks to the goalies of both teams who made some clever saves to keep their respective teams in the game.

It was a ding-dong affairs in the second half as both teams came out smoking in search of the break through.

Adebambo Ademola would then give Ottasolo the lead five minutes into the second half with a spectacular strike off a brilliant assist by Uguonna Samson.

Oludayo Alabi could have levelled things up for the Olukayo Boys four minutes later but, Ottasolo goalie, Shodipo Akorede does well to keep out his fierce strike.

MFM continuous pressure paid up on 69th minute as the Ottasolo defense was beaten by Dayo Alabi to equalize for the Olukoya Boys.

Both teams knocked and poked but the regulation time ended 1-1 to extend the game to penalty.

Ottasolo FC who is featuring for the first time in the Lagos State FA Cup eventually won the game 4-2 on penalty to set up a final match against Dannaz FC who also won the first semifinal against Smart City FC on penalty.

Ottasolo FC and Dannaz FC are the Lagos State flag bearers in the fourthcoming Nigeria Football Federation/Aiteo Cup.

Former Sunshine Stars midfield trojan, Tijani Abba who marshalled the middle of the park for the Solo Boys was adjudged the Man Of The Match.
