Silas Nwankwo Notches Third Goal For Club In Swedish Allsvengan League

Former Nasarawa United hitman and 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League joint-highest goal scorer, Silas Nwankwo, salvaged a point for his team, Mjallby AIF during their home game against visiting IFK Norrkoeping in the Swedish Allsvengan top division league on Sunday.

The home side were trailing 0-1 at the 67th minute courtesy of Daniel Eid’s strike, but Silas Nwankwo muscled his way through the traffic to cancel the scoreline with a powerful header off a teasing ball from Rasmus Wiedeshei eleven minutes later.

Mjallby are currently 7th on the log with sixteen points from eleven games, and will travel for their next match against AIK on Saturday, 2nd July, 2022.

It was the attacker’s third goal of the campaign since joining the team from last season’s Aiteo Federation’s Cup runners-up, Nasarawa United FC.

Silas Nwankwo was awarded the Best Men’s Player of the Year Based in Nigeria by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, in conjunction with Aiteo Group, official sponsor of the Aiteo Federation Cup.
