Nigeria Set To Enjoy Four Areas of Football – BSA

In this season of football politics in Nigeria, one of the presidential candidates, Bar. Seyi Akinwunmi has said that he will focus on four key areas if voted in as the next President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He revealed this onTuesday in Abuja when he made an official declaration to contest for NFF President at an event attended by top football stakeholders. He stated that his mission is to create an inclusive and vibrant football both on the field and in the administration of the game.

“My mission is to create an inclusive, vibrant and efficient football ecosystem beginning at the grassroot to develop a sustainable national football culture, provide pathways to success and fully exploit the Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit,” Barr. Akinwunmi said. 


“My action plan is structured across four key growth drivers which are development, business of football, infrastructure, and technology.

“I want to transform Nigeria into an epitome of football development using meritocracy, professionalism, technology, creativity, transparency and education,” he said.

He is presently the 1st Vice President of the NFF and chairman, Lagos State Football Association.

Aruna returns to top 20 in latest ITTF Ranking.

Quadri Aruna made a quick return to the top 20 in the latest ITTF Ranking released on Tuesday, April 16, by the world table tennis ruling body. In the rating list made public by ITTF, the Nigerian gained three steps up the ranking to occupy 19th spot in the ranking. In the last two rankings, Aruna slid to 22 after missing the World Team Championships in Korea as well as the WTT Champions in Incheon but he has fought his way back to the elite rank of the rating. African Games champion, Omar Assar of Egypt also gained one step up the rating to be ranked 16 in the world.
