Napoli announces Osimhen injury update.

Serie A club Napoli have revealed that Victor Osimhen suffered a muscle injury in their 4-1 win over Liverpool on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old sustained the same injury in Napoli’s previous game against Monza.

The forward trained separately from the team on Monday and Tuesday before he was passed fit to face the Reds on Wednesday night.

At 42nd minutes of the second half, Osimhen collapses to the ground and takes off his mask: he touches his right thigh, making a sign that refers to a very specific injury. The stretching.

Rescued by the blue medical staff, Osimhen asked for the change, necessary at that point: in an official statement issued following the knockout, Napoli spoke of “muscle strain in the right thigh”.

The Naples-based side have since confirmed Osimhen -who has scored two goals and provided an assist in five Serie A matches, had “a muscle strain in the right thigh and he will not be available to play Spezia” this coming weekend.

Aruna returns to top 20 in latest ITTF Ranking.

Quadri Aruna made a quick return to the top 20 in the latest ITTF Ranking released on Tuesday, April 16, by the world table tennis ruling body. In the rating list made public by ITTF, the Nigerian gained three steps up the ranking to occupy 19th spot in the ranking. In the last two rankings, Aruna slid to 22 after missing the World Team Championships in Korea as well as the WTT Champions in Incheon but he has fought his way back to the elite rank of the rating. African Games champion, Omar Assar of Egypt also gained one step up the rating to be ranked 16 in the world.
