"Victory FC Sets Sights on NLO Debut: Focused Preparation and Ambitious Goals Ahead"

As Victory FC eagerly anticipates their debut in the Nationwide League (NLO), next season 2024/2025, the team is diligently preparing under the guidance of club gaffer AbdulWahab AbdulHakim Fadairo. 

Coach Fadairo emphasized that their approach to friendly matches extends beyond mere victories or pride; it is about developing the players' skills and readiness for the challenges ahead, with an eye towards progressing to higher leagues such as the National Nigeria League (NNL) and the prestigious Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).

"With every training session and friendly match, our goal is not just to win, but to improve our players' abilities and prepare them for the demands of competitive football," Coach Fadairo stated.

The club Assistant Coach, Taofeek Adekunbi, echoed these sentiments, expressing satisfaction with the players' daily improvement, which has been a key focus of the team management. 

He highlighted the team's commitment to tactical prowess and defensive discipline, promising fans a season characterized by exciting football and strategic gameplay.

Speaking to the press, the pioneer (chairman) of the club Otunba Amuda Sunday said he is fully ready to support the players and the  team generally in any way both financially and materially for the big tasks ahead. The team manager Olafioye Tolu also said the team is ready and can do the unspeakable when giving the opportunity.

Victory FC stands ready to make a memorable entrance into the league. Their preparation, marked by rigorous training and strategic development, reflects their ambition to carve out a significant presence in Nigerian football. Aruna returns to top 20 in latest ITTF Ranking.

Quadri Aruna made a quick return to the top 20 in the latest ITTF Ranking released on Tuesday, April 16, by the world table tennis ruling body. In the rating list made public by ITTF, the Nigerian gained three steps up the ranking to occupy 19th spot in the ranking. In the last two rankings, Aruna slid to 22 after missing the World Team Championships in Korea as well as the WTT Champions in Incheon but he has fought his way back to the elite rank of the rating. African Games champion, Omar Assar of Egypt also gained one step up the rating to be ranked 16 in the world. The team had it's first training at a small pitch in Oyebande Street Suberu-Town Casso-Alagbado, the zeal and commitment of the team made them won their first trophy which was the Valentine cup in February 14, 1985.This inaugural edition is to be held on the 31st December 2023 by 4pm at the Football field, Adura bus stop, Alagbado Lagos.
