South African and Tanzanian Clubs Battle for Remo Stars’ Goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole

In an unfolding transfer saga, Kayode Bankole, the sensational Remo Stars’ goalkeeper and two-time NPFL Best Goalkeeper of the Season, has caught the eye of two major African clubs – Tanzania’s Simba SC and South Africa’s TS Galaxy.

Salient Times can exclusively report that Simba SC, managed by the highly experienced Fadlu Davids, is keen to secure Bankole’s signature. Davids, a former striker and two-time top scorer in South Africa’s National First Division, is known for his managerial success, including helping Morocco’s Raja Casablanca clinch the league title and Throne Cup during his stint as assistant coach.

According to sources close to Simba SC, Davids has been monitoring Bankole’s progress through Nigeria’s Greg Etafia, the goalkeeper trainer at South Africa’s TS Galaxy. Bankole’s stellar performances, including back-to-back NPFL Best Goalkeeper of the Season awards, have solidified his reputation as one of Nigeria’s top talents, earning him a spot as a CHAN Eagles goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy FC is also reportedly interested in the young shot-stopper. With the transfer window fast approaching, a potential bidding war could erupt between the two clubs for Bankole, who has consistently proven himself as a reliable and fantastic presence between the sticks.

As negotiations heat up, Bankole’s future promises to be one of the most-watched moves in African football this season.
