Football Administrators Agog in Alimosho for Ramadan Cup Final, Urge Lagos Government to Improve Sports Infrastructure

Football stakeholders and fans gathered in Alimosho for the highly anticipated final of the Alimosho Ramadan Cup on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The intense showdown took place at BRAVO-G Field, where Shindara FC and Orphiel FC battled for glory.

The match ended in a goalless draw after regulation time, leading to a dramatic penalty shootout. Shindara FC emerged victorious with a 4-2 win, securing the coveted title in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Dignitaries present at the event included Otunba Gabriel Davies, President of Ottasolo FC; Alhaji Abdullah Nakelly, President of Spartan FC and board member of the Lagos State Football Association; and Dr. Ibrahim Kolade, CEO of Sports Medical Awareness and an NPFL match commissioner.

Speaking at the event, the trio called on the Lagos State Government to invest in sports infrastructure by developing a modern football pitch in Agege and Alimosho. They emphasized that such facilities would enhance football development, nurture young talents, and provide opportunities for local players to compete at the global level, ultimately contributing to national growth.
