ALL STAR SPORTS COMPETITION SET FOR 3RD EDITION IN ALIMOSHO.


The stage is set for the 3rd Edition of the All Star Sports Competition, as football lovers prepare for another exciting celebration of grassroots football, unity, and sportsmanship.

The tournament will officially kick off on Saturday, 8 August 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Pako Omotutu Playing Ground, Akowonjo, Alimosho, Lagos, Nigeria. The opening fixture will see Golden All Stars take on Mighty Sparrow All Stars in what promises to be an entertaining curtain-raiser.

Speaking with our correspondent, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee described the competition as a platform designed to promote peace, unity, friendship, and togetherness among football veterans and participating teams. He expressed confidence that this year’s edition would be bigger and more competitive than previous tournaments.

A total of twelve (12) teams will compete for the coveted title:

● Golden All Stars

● Mighty Sparrow All Stars

● De Gents All Stars

● FKJ All Stars

● Akinola All Stars

● Fruitful Fields All Stars

● Ikotun All Stars

● Jalisco All Stars

● Federal All Stars

● Pako Thursday All Stars

● Junior Milan All Stars

● Owoseni Connect All Stars

The Chairman of Alimosho local government Hon. Akin Johnson, alongside his Vice Chairman, Hon. Francis Adebisi, has also indicated their intention to grace the opening ceremony, adding prestige to what is expected to be a memorable football festival.

With top veteran teams, passionate supporters, and community leaders expected to be in attendance, the 3rd Edition of the All Star Sports Competition promises to deliver quality football while strengthening the bonds of peace and unity across Alimosho.
